This holiday season, as we gather with loved ones and reflect on what matters most, I want to share something with you: your compassion is changing lives right here in our community.
When a neighbor faces a crisis — a job loss threatens a family's stability, a teenager struggling with overwhelming stress, or a senior who can no longer manage daily tasks alone — JFS is there because YOU are there.
At 17, Abigail watched her college dreams crumble as family conflict overwhelmed her. Her grades slipped. Hope faded. Then her JFS Family Mentor showed up—week after week—believing in her when she couldn't believe in herself.
Today, Abigail is heading to college with multiple acceptance letters in hand. “I didn't think anyone cared,” she said. “JFS proved me wrong.”
After 15 years at the same company, Anthony never imagined he'd be job hunting at 38. Fear and uncertainty paralyzed him—until his JFS Career Counselor helped him see his worth and rediscover his confidence.
Within months, Anthony had multiple job offers. “JFS didn't just help me find work,” he said. “They helped me find myself again.”
At 82, Suzanne worried she'd lose her independence when she could no longer drive to the grocery store. Simple tasks became mountains. Isolation set in.
“My JFS Shopper does more than help with groceries,” Suzanne shares. “They're a lifeline. Someone who cares. I can stay in my own home because of this program.”

This year alone, your support helped JFS serve over 1,200 individuals and families across our community—providing mental health counseling, career guidance, family support, senior services, and so much more.
