Coordinator, Family Mentor Program, Outpatient Therapist
Supporting the JFS Youth & Family Services Department, this position melds direct service with program development. Our signature Family Mentor program is a high-impact community resource that provides consistent, quality support for families via trained volunteers. This role interfaces with clients from initial outreach to direct therapy offering valuable clinical experience, including high-quality supervision.

Responsibilities
Oversee Family Mentor Program, supporting at-risk families.
- Recruitment, screening, assessment and intake of prospective families
- Recruitment, onboarding, matching, supervision, training and recognition of volunteers
- Cultivate and support strong family–mentor relationships through regular, hands-on engagement, ensuring each match is healthy, connected, and set up for success
Support Youth & Family Services Department
- Co-facilitation of social support groups, including programs for neurodivergent youth and young adults
- Maintain accurate and up to date program documentation and assist leadership with program evaluation and reporting
- Actively build, strengthen, and sustain meaningful relationships with community partners through ongoing engagement and collaboration
Clinical Responsibilities for Youth & Services Department
- Support and conduct screening, referral, and intake process for service requests
- Provide counseling to youth, families, and adults
- Support Program Manager in development and implementation of programs for youth
Additional responsibilities as requested by agency leadership.
Requirements
- Licensed in New Jersey as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Experience and interest in working with youth and families
- Interest in volunteering or working with volunteers
- Confidence with technology and willingness to utilize software
- Bilingual professionals encouraged to apply
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000–$56,000 (Full-time) based on experience
- This position is available on a full-time (35 Hours) or part-time (20 Hours) basis
