Provides energy assistance to moderate and fixed-income households experiencing a financial crisis. Eligibility is based on household size and income that does not exceed 400% of the Federal Poverty Line. Affordable Housing Alliance PAGE Program

Provides electric and gas assistance for applicants 45 days or more passed due on their bill. Eligibility is determined by annual income and household size. To apply online, visit this page or call 1-732-982-8710.

Low Income Housing Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Provides energy assistance for families from November through April. Eligibility is based on a household size and income that does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Line. Universal Service Fund (USF)

Provides electric and gas assistance for applicants struggling to pay their current bill. Eligibility is based on household size and income that does not exceed 175% of the Federal Poverty Line. To apply for USF, call 1-866-240-1347 or visit this page.

Verizon's Communications Lifeline

General Assistance Programs

Work First New Jersey (TANF)

Clients can receive emergency assistance in certain circumstances including food, clothing, shelter, rental assistance, utility payments, transportation, and moving expenses. To find out if you are eligible for any of these benefits, visit this page or call 1-800-792-9773.

Makes a critical connection between individuals and families seeking health or human services and the community referrals best able to meet their needs.

Housing Assistance Programs

Central Jersey Housing Resource Center

The CJHRC provides clients with information and resources to help clients find affordable housing. Group programs include Financial Literacy, Savings Matching, Education on Rental Realties, as well as Step by Step programs for families buying their first home. CJHRC also offers one-on-one counseling services for Legal Consultations and other general housing questions. Affordable Housing Alliance

The AHA offers aid for clients seeking rental help, foreclosure assistance, first time ownership counseling, utility assistance, as well as property listings in the area. PSE&G Energy Assistance Programs

Equal Payment Plan (EPP)

Third-Party Notification Program

This program will notify you when your older, ill, or disabled loved one's payment is late. To learn more, call 1-800-436-7734.

Life-Sustaining Equipment

Senior & Disabled Programs

Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged & Disabled (PAAD)

Hearing Aid Assistance to the Aged & Disabled (HAAAD)

For Both PAAD & HAAAD applicants must be above 65 or receive Social Security Disability Benefits and have an income of less than $28,399 if single or $34,817 if married.

Community Care Program

The Community Care Program is a Medicaid home and community based services (HCBS) waiver program. It provides services for eligible individuals who live in a provider-managed setting, such as a group home or supervised apartment, or who live in their family home or their own apartment or home, to assist them to live as independently as possible. Lifeline Program

Senior Gold Prescription Discount Program

Water Assistance Programs

H20 to Help Others

Provides up to $500 of water assistance to qualifying NJ American Water households. Eligibility is based on household size and income that does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Line.

Low Income Payment Program (LIPP)

Provides up to 20% of qualifying customer's monthly bill. Eligibility is based on household size and income that does not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Line.

SUEZ Water Cares

Provides relief to people facing temporary financial crisis.
