We're proud to share the common goal of helping our community with you.

JFS of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties is a 501(c)3 non-profit social service agency working to improve the overall quality of life for people of all backgrounds. Since 1980, we have grown to offer mental health and career counseling, groups for youth and young adults on the Autism spectrum, home visits and grocery delivery to isolated older adults, and so much more.

On Sunday, April 6, 2025, we are celebrating 45 years of service to the community at Stand Up For JFS, featuring Emmy Award winning actress and comedian Judy Gold and comedian Sandy Hackett, son of the late Buddy Hackett. The event will include a delicious brunch, exciting auction, honorees, and meaningful commemoration of this milestone. We respectfully ask that you consider supporting this event by becoming a sponsor or benefactor, donating an in-kind gift for our auction, purchasing an advertisement in our tribute journal, and joining us for an afternoon of laughter at the gala.

Please review sponsorship and benefactor opportunities and consider making a donation. Your generosity will help JFS reach our most vulnerable community members including isolated older adults, adults and youth struggling with mental health issues and families facing food insecurity. Our services are available to everyone in the community, regardless of their religion or ability to pay, providing support for life's challenges, and bolstered by our dedicated volunteers and generous supporters.

We hope you will join us as our values of kindness, charity, and helping people are aligned. Your donation and support can make a world of difference for someone we serve. Please let us know if there is any additional process or information needed to secure a donation, or if you'd like to secure your sponsorship by pledging today and paying later.

We thank you for your thoughtful consideration.

Who We Are

Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties is a 501c3 nonsectarian nonprofit social service agency working to improve the overall quality of life for individuals and families of all faiths and backgrounds in our tri-county community.

Supporting Older Adults

…by increasing their ability to age in place and remain part of their community. Programs provide access to basic needs, reduce isolation, and offer homecare and case management for Holocaust Survivors through Claims Conference, Margit Feldman Holocaust Survivor Emergency Assistance Fund and Kavod SHEF Seed the Dream Matching Fund. Services for older adults are funded by Steve & Kathy Harris, Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services, Rummel Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, and Sephardic Foundation on Aging.

Promoting Mental Health

…by providing affordable, accessible treatment to individuals, couples, families and groups. Through The Betty and Arthur Roswell Counseling Center, JFS is a NJ licensed outpatient mental health counseling provider. Counseling is subsidized by Somerset County Board of County Commissioners.

Empowering Youth & Families

…by creating supportive connections between community members. Individual strengths are fortified through social opportunities for neurodivergent youth and adults, drawing together people facing similar challenges in support groups, and matching volunteers to families in need of mentoring. Expanding Horizons is funded by the Nancy L. & Arthur E. Lee Family Fund. Family Mentor is funded by Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation and Somerset County Board of County Commissioners.

Answering Urgent Needs

…by providing emergency support, information, and referrals to community partners. Critical community needs are met through career counseling, assistance referrals, distribution of donated material goods, and the Evan Jaffe Emergency Fund & Hebrew Free Loan Society.
